As we are arriving to the end of the first quarter of 2017, we want to present our latest API updates, which we have worked on during January to March.

The main news on our API are the updates of all of our SDKs, the new downloadable application for signed documents, the improvements in the developer´s dashboard or the possibility to password protect PDFs that are sent via certified emails and SMS, among others.

In this post published today you have all of the details of this first update for our API in 2017. We encourage you to read it, so you don't miss any details on the improvements we continue to make on our tool.

SDK Updates

We have updated all of our  SDKs - Ruby, Python, PHP, Node.js, Swift, Java y .Net - for the following methods: Certified SMS, Subscriptions, Team and Contacts.

The Subscriptions method is used to subscribe to events of your signature processes and receive notifications in real-time when one of those events occurs.

For example: if you need that every time a document is signed, that document is automatically saved in your CRM, you can subscribe to the event “document_signed”. That means that anytime a document sent through Signaturit has been signed, our system will automatically send a notification to the web service that you have previously defined.

You can read about all of the events that we have predefined here.

Application to download signed documents

We have created a multi-platform application that allows to download all signed documents that have been sent to sign from all the accounts in a work team.

Creating a work team is an ideal feature for those companies where more than one person needs to have access to Signaturit’s dashboard to send documents to sign.

Dashboard for developers

We have improved the dashboard for developers, with the aim to simplify navigation between the different calls to our API.

We have also increased the amount of information available, so that integrations are easier to perform.

Send emails and certified SMS with password protected PDFs

As you know, with Signaturit you can send certified emails or certified SMS. From now on, if a PDF document is attached to a certified email or certified SMS, this document can be protected with a password, which adds an extra layer of security to minimize the risk of phishing.

Forward “push notifications” from the developer’s dashboard

We have added the possibility to resend a “push notification” to our clients’ web service, so that they are informed about the status of the signature processes in real-time.

To do so, you only need to open the detail of a web hook and press the forward button. In a few seconds, the web service will receive the event configured with the parameter “events_url” (https://docs.signaturit.com/api/latest#signatures_create_signature).
