A Barcelona local for all of her life, Paula Ferrer is our Account Executive. She studied Political Science and International Relations in the University of Pompeu Fabra and began to work at Signaturit for an internship when the team had only 5 people. A restless girl, she is fascinated by any outdoor sport that involves adventure or being in the water. Travelling is one of her main passions, but when she wants to relax she loves to read or paint.

Meet our Account Executive, Paula Ferrer


1. How did you discover Signaturit?

I joined Signaturit three years ago, when I was doing  an internship at Incubio business incubator while I was still studying at the university. At that time, most of Signaturit’s team was in Amsterdam, and Incubio suggested that I could help the rest of the team that remained in Barcelona. From the very beginning, I liked the project and my colleagues so much, that what was going to be a 6 months stay has become 3 years and a job position!

2.How would you describe your work?

Since I started working I have performed various roles at Signaturit. When I started, my job was basically to provide support to the Sales and Marketing Departments. But little by little, I realized that I felt more comfortable in the Sales Department: I liked the work the most and I have been learning a lot until I became an Account Executive. In this position, I have the opportunity to advise companies and recommend the digital solution that best adapts to their needs.

3. What is the overall purpose of your position?

Helping companies in their digitization projects and to streamline their work processes. It sounds a lot like a sales speech, I know, but fundamentally my role is to help companies that want to transform processes into digital, such as signing documents, or that need to send documents online with a proof of receipt. When I learn about which types of solutions they need, I propose one or another tool. I always look to provide value, ensuring that the solution that I propose is the one that they really need, and the one  that fits better with their profile and requirements. To summarize, my goal is to recommend services that they need, once I have found out the technological shortcomings our clients have when carrying out their daily tasks.

4. What do you like most about working in the Sales Department?

From my point of view, although working in the Sales Department is very undervalued, it is a fantastic job that allows me to have a global vision of how thousands of companies operate. It opens the doors to get to know their projects, and in a certain way, to be part of them. I consider this a great opportunity to get to know exceptional professionals, both in large companies as in small, from which I always end up learning something. The truth is that getting someone to trust you and your company is very rewarding. Additionally, it’s a great feeling when customers appreciate you and the energy that you invest in helping them.

5. How is a typical day in Signaturit for you?

Every day in Signaturit is a challenge and I learn at a very fast pace. My basic tools are the email, telephone, and above all, my CRM,  a client management software where I have my daily plans: calls, meetings, budgets, etc. In the morning I mostly make calls and follow up on potential customers. In the afternoon, my work is more administrative, such as responding to emails or preparing budgets.

6. What do you value most about working in Signaturit?

Many things! In Signaturit I have learned about several topics, such as of technological issues that I had very basic notions. Working here provides me with general knowledge, and as we are not a very big team I am constantly communicating with all departments, and this allows us to share knowledge and information. Additionally, I highly appreciate the confidence from the entire team and the values that have been transmitted from the very beginning. The managers always encourage us to try new goals or challenges, and if we make a mistake it’s not a big deal, because that’s how we learn. This spirit is fantastic because in fact, I have learned most from my own mistakes, and this has allowed me to grow and do my job better every day.

7. What are your biggest challenges in Signaturit?

Achieving the monthly sales goals that are set for me. My work translates into numbers and results, and I have to achieve them. My goal is acquiring a certain number of new clients each month, to achieve exponential growth. Personally this challenge is very motivating, because it helps me to stay proactive and improve my skills.

8. What do you like most about working in such an innovative sector?

Contributing to the digital transformation in companies. I am aware that Signaturit offers innovative solutions that will totally change the day-to-day workflows in many businesses. With Signaturit, our clients replace the process of signing documents or contracts on paper with our electronic signature solution, streamlining that process and thus , improving in efficiency, saving paper, and ultimately attracting and retaining customers! Our clients value the tool because it really creates an improvement for their clients (and for them), which makes me feel really proud.

9. What are the characteristics of a Signabuddy for you?

To be a person committed to your work, and with the rest of the team. We highly value dynamic people who want to learn and, above all, who are enthusiastic for our project. Additionally, Signabuddies are passionate about sweets. Chocolate or cookies are always in the office, and even more if we are celebrating a birthday.

10. What would you recommend for future Signabuddies?

If you are looking for a place to work with innovative and passionate people, and you are very eager to learn, improve, work and have a good time – this is your place! The team is great and seeing everyday how motivated and energetic everyone is, is priceless!
