Last Friday October 9 ended the 4th edition of South Summit, a 3 day event in Madrid that gathered startups, entrepreneurs and investors from Southern Europe and Latin America. The event was organized by Startup Spain, IE Business School and Fundación Incyde.
We also participated in the last edition of South Summit, held exactly a year ago. We were one of the 100 startups selected for the Startup Competition, a contest that rewards the best entrepreneurial initiatives considering innovation, feasibility, scalability and interest of potential investors.
We have participated in this edition thanks to Banco Sabadell, along with other startups that also have gone through the bank's acceleration program called BStartup.
This post is also available in Spanish.
From our booth 102, our sales teammates, Jelena Bekkers (Sales Development Representative) and Paula Ferrer (Market Response Representative) were able to make over 200 demos, showing all stakeholders how easy it is to use our advanced electronic signature solution.

In addition to the interest arose by our tool among participants, Juan Zamora, Co-Founder and CEO of Signaturit was interviewed by the Spanish newspaper Economía de Mallorca. The interview (in Spanish) was published on Friday October 9, the last day of the South Summit, entitled: “La firma 2.0 se llama Signaturit” (The signature 2.0 is called Signaturit).
As remarkable facts, from Signaturit we would like to point out the number of interesting presentations. To start with, Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak's inaugural speech. Continuing, all talks that took place in the Innovation Stage about interesting topics such as the digital transformation of enterprises, the future of Fintech or the future of cybersecurity.
Secondly, we also would like to highlight the greater presence compared to last year´s of large corporations from different sectors, interested in participating in the event for its high concentration of innovative startups and entrepreneurial talent. The interest from these companies is a very positive sign, indicating their desire to renew and adapt to new digital times.
Figures for the 2015 edition are a clear measure of the event's success: more than 12,500 people, 100 startups participating at the Startup Competition, 6,300 entrepreneurs, 3,100 large companies, 650 investors, 325 journalists and 275 speakers.
Before sharing some pictures of Signaturit's team who was present during the 3 days of South Summit, we would like to congratulate the winning startups of this year's Startup Competition: S-Biomedic, Plactherm, Imagga and Habitissimo, in the category of Healthcare and Biotech, Industrial Revolution, Tech for Big Players and Digital Solutions for Mass Markets, respectively. Congratulations to all!
