Just a week after the company’s win at the 10th Edition of the ‘EmprendedorXXI’ Awards in Catalunya, Signaturit scooped First Prize at the 5th Edition of Bbooster Week in Tenerife this past October 28th.

The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife was the setting for the latest edition of this gathering, during which Signaturit was awarded a €100,000 investment by Canary Islands-based venture capital firm Bbooster Ventures. The award was provided by the Booster Dyrecto fund, to which Fond-ICO Global and a number of other private investors contribute.

Also known as Business Booster Week, the event is backed by Proexca (a Canary Islands governmental body handling exports) and the Canary Islands Network of Business Angels, and organized by BBooster Ventures, as a mean to identify up-and-coming startups worthy of its Booster Dyrecto investment.

The €100,000 prize was awarded to Signaturit by Pedro Ortega, Minister for Economy, Industry, Trade and Knowledge of the Government of the Canary Islands, and was the culmination of several days of the acceleration program, all of which led us to establish a very positive relationship with the five other finalists – Zank, Growly, Skitude, Tallerator and Turitop –  to whom we give our congratulations for also being shortlisted.

Juan Zamora, Signaturit's CEO and co-founder, said that the investment represents “a double the satisfaction" since it means that not only has Signaturit been ranked with other first-class companies but “the grant also provides the company with significant financial support during its current expansion in Europe.”

The Bbooster Week’s closing ceremony was also attended by several of the events’ supporters, including Antonio Garcia Marichal, Minister of Innovation, Education, Culture and Sports of the Cabildo de Tenerife, representatives of Tenerife’s Science and Technology Park, the Society for the Development of the Canary Islands, the Canary Islands Special Zone, Dyrecto Consultants and members of local business accelerator WhyTenerife.
